Terms of Service

Last updated: June 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AI New Tab Chrome extension and website at chromeainewtab.com (the "Service"), operated by [Legal entity / individual name] ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

AI New Tab replaces your browser's new-tab page with pages generated by an AI model from prompts you provide. Generated pages are saved to your account as versions you can switch between, restore, and edit.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your account secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.

3. Credits & payments

  • The Service uses a prepaid credit system. Generating pages consumes credits based on AI usage.
  • Credit packs are one-time purchases — there is no subscription or recurring charge.
  • Purchases are sold and processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
  • Prices are shown in USD and may change; changes do not affect credits already purchased.
  • Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and don't expire while your account is active. Unused credits may be forfeited if your account is closed or terminated.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate or distribute unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive content;
  • Attempt to break out of the sandbox, exfiltrate data, or compromise the Service or other users;
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or abuse the Service or its AI capacity (e.g. automated bulk requests);
  • Violate the rights of others or any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the prompts you submit and the pages generated for you, to the extent such content is protectable. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for ensuring your prompts and use comply with applicable law.

6. AI-generated output

Generated pages are produced by an AI model and are provided "as is". Output may be inaccurate, may not function exactly as intended, and may be similar to output generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before relying on it.

7. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, branding, and design — is owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or to the Service beyond the right to use it as intended.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Certain provisions (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
